Lady Trojans win fourth consecutive
Hillsboro softball team crushes Moundridge
The Lady Trojans got one final warm-up Tuesday night in the regular season finale at Hillsboro against the Moundridge Lady Wildcats.
In its second consecutive game in two days, Hillsboro showed no signs of fatigue, run-ruling the Wildcats, 16-0 and 21-2 to run the Trojans' overall record to 14-4.
On Monday night against the hosting Inman Lady Teutons, the Trojans pulled off a sweep, vanquishing Inman with a pair of 15-5 games.
With the Trojans clinging for dear life to a 5-4 lead heading into their final at-bat, they put the opener out of the Teutons' reach with a 10-run onslaught.
Hillsboro had to fight back from a 4-0 deficit to win the finale.
The Trojans use a small break to get set for Monday's regional at Southeast of Saline.
The SES Lady Trojans have been a perennial thorn in Hillsboro's side in postseason play.
