Lady Warriors drop two home matches

Peabody-Burns High School Lady Warrior volleyball team lost two matches Sept. 27 at home.
Hutch Trinity downed PBHS 25-23, 25-14, and Remington was victorious 25-22, 25-14.
The Lady Warriors traveled Thursday to play Wichita Trinity and Chase County, and dropped both matches there as well.
Hutch Trinity took an early lead in game one 12-3. Becky Morris served eight points and recorded two aces to cut the lead to five. PBHS got within one at 23-22, but still fell by two.
In game two, the Lady Warriors built a 10-7 lead. Hutch Trinity then scored 12 straight points, and took the match.
In the Remington match, the teams played even early, and PBHS took a 10-8 lead.
Remington came back to take the lead 23-16. Traci Windsor served to bring the Lady Warriors to within two at 24-22, but lost the final point.
In game two, the Lady Warriors played from behind the entire contest. The Lady Broncos took an 11-point victory and the match.
In the Chase County contest Kali Alstrom sparked the team with six service points, including two aces. Morris had five straight service points late in the game to help PBHS claim the victory. Jessi Hilliard had four kills in the game.
In game two the Lady Warriors went down early and couldn't recover. Game three saw Chase County pull ahead 9-1, eventually taking the game and the match.
Against Wichita Trinity PBHS went down by five early in game one. Good back row play from Bayleigh Clark helped keep the ball in play, and the team battled back to within one, but lost the final point. PBHS lost game two, 25-16.
