LaVerna Redger
LaVerna M. Redger, 83, of Tampa died Nov. 13, 2002, at rural Tampa.
Born May 14, 1919, in rural Moundridge, she was the daughter of C.C. and Helen (Ratzloff) Wedel.
On Nov. 11, 1945, she married Henry Redger at Durham. He survives. She was a member of Church of God in Christ Mennonite.
Survivors include her husband of rural Tampa; sons, Norman and wife Sharon Redger of DeRidder, La.; Jim and wife Annette Redger of Tiller, Ark.; daughters, Kathy and husband Harry Friesen of Birnie, Manitoba, and Donna and husband Darrell Koehn of Moundridge; brothers, Harry Wedel and Art Wedel, both of rural Tampa; sister-in-law, Amanda Wedel of Durham; 18 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Services were held Nov. 16 at Church of God in Christ Mennonite Morning Star Church in rural Tampa with Minister Ransom Wiebe officiating. Burial was at Logan Cemetery in rural Tampa.
A memorial has been established at Morning Star Church.
