Goessel High School had trouble scoring points in the 14-team Heart of America League track meet.
On the boys side of events, Inman, Peabody and Berean finished in the top three spots, and the Goessel boys finished in a tie for eleventh. Scoring points for the Bluebirds were Korrie Bennett, fifth in high jump; Ben Goering second place in pole vault; Eric Ursowski, third in the 800-meter run; and Tyler Schroeder, fifth in shot put.
Remington, Inman, and Burrton finished in the top three spots in the girls' division. The Goessel girls finished 10th in the league with a third place finish from Courtney Berkholz in the 100-meter dash and a third place in pole vault by Tricia Fensky. Goessel will go to a 1A regional on Friday and will compete against only 1A schools.
The regional track meet will be hosted by Madison High School. Anybody that finishes in the top four spots of each event will go on to the state track meet on May 28.
