Leah Loucks
Leah V. Loucks, 91, of Hesston died Jan. 5, 2003, at Schowalter Villa in Hesston.
Born Dec. 19, 1911, at McPherson County, she was the daughter of Charles D. and Susie (Heatwole) Yoder.
On May 26, 1935, at rural Inman, she married Phares Loucks.
She was a teacher and homemaker.
She lived in the McPherson County area until moving to Hesston in 1966.
She was a member of Hesston Mennonite Church.
Survivors include her husband of Hesston; sons, Loren Loucks of Salina, Stan Loucks of Enid, Okla., and Randall Lucks of Hesston; daughter, Irene Schrock of Colorado Springs, Colo.; brother, Rollin Yoder of Overland Park; sisters, Vera Schrag of Moundridge, and Ruth Miller of Goshen, Ind.; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held Thursday at Hesston Mennonite Church in Hesston with Rev. Robert Brown officiating.
Graveside services and burial were held earlier on Thursday at Eastlawn Cemetery near Hesston.
