Lena Unruh
Lena Unruh, 101, died July 24, 2004, at Summerwood Care Center, Moses Lake, Wash.
Born Dec. 12, 1902, in Waukomis, Okla., she was the daughter of Abraham and Mary (Brown) Wiens.
On June 5, 1925, she married Edwin Unruh at Enid, Okla. He died in 1995.
She was a homemaker and member of Bethel College Mennonite Church.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, James Unruh, who died in 1974; three brothers, Abe, John, and Henry Wiens; and two sisters, Eva Neufeld and Mary Enns.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, John and Marlene Unruh of Warden, Wash.; a daughter and her husband, Lois and Richard Reimer of Smithville, Ohio; a sister, Elizabeth Regier of Enid, Okla.; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Hillsboro Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Dorothea Janzen officiating.
Burial will be in Johannestal Cemetery, rural Hillsboro.
A memorial has been established in her name with Mennonite Women USA.
