County lawyers support Biggs
To the Editor:
The Marion County Bar Association unanimously supports Chris Biggs for Kansas Attorney General. Biggs has more than 13 years experience as a prosecutor, during which time he was named outstanding prosecutor by the Kansas County and District Attorneys Association. He effectively manages the office of the Geary County Attorney in Junction City, Kansas, and has done so since his first election in 1988.
Chris Biggs is a practicing attorney with a sound reputation. His professional and personal integrity and his experience make him well qualified for the office of Attorney General. We cannot think of any reason why a voter should not support him.
Phill Kline has been a legislator for the Kansas City suburbs in Johnson County. He has very little if any experience in the practice of law, and has even allowed his law license to lapse on occasion. He has no known office management experience.
Your choice in this race is between a qualified, professional attorney who has been an effective and respected law enforcement officer, and a professional politician who has no qualifications for the position other than the fact that he wants the job.
We in Marion County have been proud of the job our own Carla Stovall has done for the past eight years. Like Chris Biggs, she qualified herself for the job by working many years as a county prosecutor. The attorneys of Marion County, Republicans and Democrats alike, believe Chris Biggs is the only qualified candidate to succeed Stovall, and we urge you to vote for Chris Biggs.
