Lewis Smith
Lewis R. Smith, 87, of Hillsboro, died Jan. 12, 2007.
Born April 19, 1919, at Guthrie, Okla., he was the son of Arch and Ola (Waller) Smith.
On Oct. 27, 1939, he married Anna Martens at Lehigh.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Georgia Smith in 2006.
Survivors include his wife, Anna of Hillsboro; daughter, Bonnie Swartzendruber of Plano, Texas; brother, Harold Smith of Wichita; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Lehigh Mennonite Cemetery, rural Lehigh, with Pastor Gaylord Goertzen officiating.
A memorial fund has been established with Hillsboro United Methodist Church.
