Lillian Stenzel

Lillian Criger Heidel Stenzel, 80, died Dec. 9, 2007, at St. Luke Hospital, Marion.

Born Dec. 11, 1926, at Potwin, she was the daughter of David and Anna (Graff) Criger.

She was a longtime resident of Marion County, having worked as a waitress and at Hehr Manufacturing at Newton.

On Jan. 13, 1951, she married George Heidel. On Aug. 5, 1990, she married Charles Stenzel. Both preceded her in death.

She was a member of Valley United Methodist Church, Marion.

Survivors include a son, Larry Heidel of Hillsboro; four daughters, Sarah Stroede of Salina, Debbie Craig and Norma Druse, both of Marion, and Yvonne Sauber of Ellinwood; brother, Arthur Criger of Pueblo, Colo.; 10 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were Saturday morning at Valley United Methodist Church, Marion with Pastor Rick Branson officiating.

Inurnment will take place at a later date.

A memorial has been established with St. Luke Living Center, Marion.
