Local students named to honor rolls
Wichita State
Officials at Wichita State University have announced the dean's honor roll for the 2003 spring semester. Recipients must have at least a 3.5 grade point average.
Area students included on the honor roll were Brandy Nicole Ashley, Twila Kay Guhr, Rebecca Elizabeth Hill and Ashley Ann Soyez, all of Goessel; Nicholas Ryan Bartel, Rachael Marie Davis and David Craig Enns, all of Hillsboro.
Spring graduates of WSU included Brandy Ashley, summa cum laude, of Goessel, and Rachael Davis, cum laude, of Hillsboro.
Pittsburg State
Pittsburg State University has announced its 2003 spring honor roll.
Jeff Suderman of Hillsboro and Ashley Debusk of Goessel were listed on the all-A list.
Making the dean's list, requiring a grade point average of at least 3.6 on a 4.0 scale, were Sara Hill and Caleb Bunn, both of Goessel.
Suderman was also honored at the College of Technology Awards Banquet as one of the outstanding automotive seniors.
KU
University of Kansas officials have announced 2003 spring honor roll recipients. Honor roll criteria vary among the university's academic units. Some schools honor the top 10 percent of students enrolled, some establish a minimum grade point average, and others raise the minimum GPA for each year students are in school.
The following area students were included on the honor roll: Garrett Call, junior, liberal arts and sciences, son of Patrick and Karen Call of Hillsboro; Adam Driggers, sophomore, liberal arts and sciences, son of Darrell and Charlene Driggers of Hillsboro; Sara Janzen, senior, school of pharmacy, daughter of Daniel and Susan Janzen of rural Hillsboro; Heather R. Matz, senior, liberal arts and sciences, daughter of Reg Matz and Rene Matz of Hillsboro; and Josie Lynn Nixon, junior, school of fine arts, daughter of Lynn Unruh of Marion.
