Local vocal musicians to be featured in program
A special evening of music featuring local vocalists is planned at 7 p.m. Saturday, April 2, at the historic Fox Theatre in Hutchinson.
Sponsored by Hesston College, the program will feature vocal music performed by baritone soloist and Hesston College artist-in residence Anthony Brown, the college's Bel Canto Singers directed by Jacob Rittenhouse, the Haven High School Wildcat Singers directed by Scott Hay, and the Elbiata Singers from Goessel High School directed by Greg Bontrager.
The evening will feature individual numbers from each participant, then a combined choir will join soloist Brown for several African-American spirituals.
Tickets for the event are $5 per person and should be purchased in advance through the Fox Theatre by calling 620-663-5861 or at the theatre box office. The theatre is located at 18 East 1st Avenue. Tickets are also available at all of the high school and college locations beginning March 1. Tickets may also be purchased at the door the evening of the event.
