Marcene Gunter
Marcene Gunter, 71, of Hillsboro, died Dec. 5, 2007.
Born Jan. 26, 1936, at Wichita, she was the daughter of Walter and Velma (Whisman) Weber.
She was an office computer manager for Wesley Family Practice and member of Hillsboro United Methodist Church.
On Dec. 28, 1952, she married Charles Gunter at Woodbine.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Brenda.
Survivors include her husband, Charles of Hillsboro; two daughters, Gwen Ross and Lucinda Epley, both of Wichita; two brothers, Lloyd and Lyle Cox, both of Louisiana; two sisters, Elizabeth Pryor and Beulah Harp; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted Monday morning at Hillsboro United Methodist Church with the Rev. Charles Grant officiating.
Burial was in Lakeview Cemetery, Wichita.
Memorial funds have been established with the American Cancer Society or American Heart Association.
