Marilyn Nikkel
Marilyn Nikkel, 59, of rural Canton died at her residence Jan. 24, 2004.
Born Dec. 9, 1944, at Goessel, she was the daughter of Jacob C. and Irma (Voth) Koehn.
On Dec. 28, 1962, at rural Goessel, she married Kermit Nikkel. He survives.
She was a homemaker and a partner in the farming and livestock operation.
She was a lifetime Goessel area resident and a member of Alexanderwohl Mennonite Church.
Survivors include her husband of the home; her parents of Goessel; her son, Christopher of Hamburg, Germany; her daughter, Suzanne Meier of Wichita; her brother, John Koehn of Dighton; her sisters, Margaret Hiebert of North Newton and Linda Buller of Wichita; and three grandchildren.
Services were held Tuesday at Alexanderwohl Mennonite Church with Revs. James Dunn and Mark Wiens officiating. Burial was at the church cemetery.
Memorial funds have been established with Alexanderwohl Sunday School Department and Harry Hynes (Hospice).
