Marion woman dies in collision
A Marion woman died Tuesday evening in a two-car collision in rural Harvey County.
According to the Harvey County Sheriff's Department, Joyce M. Hett, 72, was eastbound on a two-lane road when a westbound 2001 Dodge Caravan driven by Melford Logston, 36, Elbing, crossed the center line. The accident occurred on East First Street, near Newton.
Hett, driving a 2003 Chevrolet Impala, died at the scene. Logston died later at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita.
