Marjorie Alexander
Marjorie Dorilda Alexander, 81, died Oct. 5, 2002, at Wichita.
Born Aug. 31, 1921, in Sweden, she was the daughter of Norman and Dorilda Green.
Later in life, she went back to high school and in 1970 graduated with honors from Marion High School.
On Nov. 20, 1943, in Providence, R.I., she married Glen Alexander. He survives in Marion.
She was a homemaker and a member of Valley United Methodist Church and a member of VFW Auxiliary.
She enjoyed bowling, reading and going to sporting events.
She was preceded in death by one brother.
Survivors include husband, Glen of Marion; sons, Gary of Hopkinsville, Ky., Bryan of Herington, Norman of Newton, and Lance of Cedar Point; and six grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Valley United Methodist Church in Marion with Pastor Kennedy Mukwindidza officiating. Burial will be at New Gottland Cemetery in McPherson.
Memorials have been established with the church and the American Cancer Society.
