Mary Ellen Wiens
Mary Ellen Wiens, 54, of Grandview, Mo., died Wednesday, June 16, 2004.
Born Feb. 27, 1950, in York, Neb., she was the daughter of John and Bertha (Dick) Quiring. She was a graduate of Tabor College. Her husband, Gary Wiens, was the pastor at Parkview Mennonite Brethren Church from 1976-1980.
Survivors include her husband, Gary Wiens of the home; her mother, Bertha Quiring of Henderson, Neb; sisters, Carol Dick and her husband John of Hillsboro, Elaine Nikkel and her husband Larry of Hillsboro, Janet Thiessen and her husband John of Inman; brother, John Quiring and his wife of Hampton, Neb.; three children, David Wiens and his wife Stephanie of Kansas City, Mo., Alyson Alberts and her husband Ben of Grandview, and Rachel Wiens of Grandview.
Private graveside services were held June 19 at Longview Memorial Gardens. A memorial service was held June 20 at the International House of Prayer, 3515 E. Red Bridge Rd., Kansas City, Mo.
