Matz named Governor's Scholar

Elise Matz, a 2003 graduate of Hillsboro High School, was selected to attend the 20th Annual Governor's Scholars Award Program on May 4 in Topeka. The recognition ceremony honors the top academic 1 percent of Kansas high school seniors and is funded by donations from the Kansas Bankers Association and other private sector businesses in Kansas.

Matz is the daughter of Reg and Rene' Matz of Hillsboro.
