Milton news: Plummers enjoy Thanksgiving guests

Shelby Plummer of Lake Perry arrived at her parents' home, Al and Bonnie, Tuesday and returned home Saturday. Martin and Kayme Voelker, Alyson and Abbie of Nixa, Mo., arrived Wednesday and returned home Friday. Kay Hall of Las Cruces, N.M., sister of Al, arrived Monday. They all were Thanksgiving guests of Ben and Jean Plummer at El Dorado. Todd and Shelley Plummer, Morgan and Dalton of Rose Hill joined them. Austin, Draven, and Aiden Bidwell of El Dorado were overnight guests of their grandparents, Al and Bonnie.

Bonnie Plummer went Thursday to Norton to be with her mother, Florence Lambert. She returned home Saturday.

Marvin and Sherol Nightengale had a pre-Thanksgiving dinner Sunday for their family. Attending were Brad and Diane Nightengale, Roger, Laura, and Casey of El Dorado, Mitch and Cathy Foote of Manhattan, and Jim and Linda Hess, Allie and Amelia of Kearney, Mo. Thanksgiving Day the Nightengales were dinner guests of Mitch and Cathy. Kristen and Branden Wilds also were guests.

Thanksgiving dinner guests of Lawrence and Lois Sayers were Sandy Sayers of El Dorado and Bruce. In the evening Jim Padgett and Sara and Autumn of Florence were guests. Joyce Kyle called on them to see Autumn.

Sandy Sayers took Megan and Jessica Sayers Saturday to Wichita. She was an evening supper guest when she brought the girls home.

Wendell and Carmella Koehn and family of Cimarron arrived Wednesday and were dinner guests of Kevin and Jan Jantz, Kaylee, Shauna, and Jesse. Other guests were Danny and June Huls and Jenny, Luana Isaac, and Melissa and Ryan.

The Wendell Koehn family, the Jantz family, Renferd and Wanda Koehn, Lonnie, Dalen, and Carolee, and Rose Forgy, Melissa and Ryan were Thanksgiving Day guests of Vernon and Florine Koehn and Judy.

The Renferd Koehn family and Nathan and Ella Koehn were Sunday post-Thanksgiving dinner guests of Roland and Kim Koehn, Doug, Kayla, and Diana.

Callers Sunday evening of Vernon, Florine, and Judy Koehn were Marjorie Jantz and Lena Koehn of Newton. Monday callers were John and Elsie Unruh of Greensburg. Elsie and Florine are cousins.

Vernon and Judy Koehn went to Montezuma Friday to attend the funeral of Ginger Koehn, daughter of Roy and Charlene Koehn, former Burns residents. She was the granddaughter of Jake and Ruby Koehn. We extend our sympathy.

Visitors Saturday afternoon of Vernon, Florine, and Judy Koehn were Clinton and Ruth Holdeman of Lime Springs, Iowa. They served in Haiti with the Koehns. Dinner guests Sunday of the Koehns were Marvin and Erma Koehn of Monterey, Tenn., Harlan and Edna Koehn and Beverly of Newton, Luana Isaac, Rose Forgy, Melissa and Ryan, Kevin and Jan Jantz and family, Marcella Schmidt, and Trudi Koehn. Afternoon callers were Steve and Barbara Koehn and family of Newton.

Bertha and Loretta Koehn were Sunday evening visitors of the Renferd Koehns. Marvin and Erma Koehn were overnight guests.

Kathleen Brenzikofer, Mary Langenegger, and Joyce Kyle attended the Monday morning funeral for Stanley Geisel. Kathleen and Joyce went to Newton Tuesday morning to the funeral of Linda Nelson, sister of Nancy Davis. Our sympathy to both families.

Thanksgiving dinner guests of Joyce Kyle were Glenn and Betty Kyle, Dan and Robin Kyle of Florence, and Evelyn Beard of Wichita. Joyce joined other family members Friday evening for a Thanksgiving supper at Grandpa Gehring's farm.

Kathleen Brenzikofer went to Cassoday Saturday afternoon to help Junior Miller celebrate his birthday.

Mary Langenegger and Joyce Kyle went Sunday to the home of Jim and Beulah Gehring in Moundridge and all went to Lindsborg to the Old Mill Museum where they viewed a display of one-room schools of McPherson County. Very interesting.
