Minamae Bierman
Minamae Bierman, 85, died March 14, 2006, at St. Luke Living Center, Marion.
Born Dec. 30, 1920, at Galatia, she was the daughter of Roy and Sopha Plott.
She attended Beloit High School and Kansas Wesleyan University in Salina, where she pursued a degree in English.
On July 22, 1946, she married Carl Bierman. The couple spent the majority of their married life in Topeka.
They both taught in the Seaman school district in Topeka.
She was a member of Seaman Congregational Church, Topeka, for 43 years before moving to Burns, where she became an active member of Burns United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; four brothers, brothers, Ranold, Merrill, Paul, and Leonard; and sister, Marjorie Fleming.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Bernie and Della Bierman; daughter, Barbara Anderson; several grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday at Burns United Methodist Church, Burns, with the Rev. Jim Bush officiating.
Burial was in Rochester Cemetery with the Rev. Paul DeLuc officiating.
Memorial funds have been established with Burns United Methodist Church or Burns PRIDE.
