At 1:20 p.m. Feb. 13, Emmanuel will explore how Muslims can be reached through the Internet and television in a session titled "New Things are Starting: Will You Perceive It? Jesus is Online Reaching the Muslm People."
A session titled "Making Ways and Rivers in the Desert: A Journey from a Suicide Bomber to Life Rescuer" will conclude the conference at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 13.
All conference sessions will take place in the Tabor College Chapel-Auditorium, located in the H.W. Lohrenz Building.
A missions and services fair featuring representatives from various agencies will also occur from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Feb. 13 and 14.
Born and raised in Sudan as a Muslim, Emmanuel spent his childhood memorizing the Qur'an, then taught Arabic in an Iranian school and helped convert its students to Islam. After becoming a Christian in 1995 and ceasing his mosque attendance, he was confronted and questioned by the imams and chief of Islam at the mosque. A decision was then made to kill Emmanuel because of his Christian testimony, but the attempt failed.
Now a Canadian resident, he currently serves as Arabic Correspondence Coordinator with Family Life Network, a multi-cultural team of Christian communicators dedicated to helping people build healthy relationships with God, family, and friends.
