Mohn reunion held Sept 5 in Hillsboro

Duane and Shirley Hamm spent Labor Day weekend with Shirley's sister Norma Ballard in Topeka.
Bob and Coleen Warkentin from Salina were Monday afternoon luncheon guests of their mother, Elma Warkentin.
On Labor Day, Paul and Arlene Pankratz visited Elmer and Dorothy Seibel and Jay and Luella Burkhart in Newton. In the evening, Gus and Mildred Hamm from rural Tampa visited at the Pankratzes.
Doug and Coleen Weinbrenner and family were Saturday evening supper guests at the home of Richard and Kathy Dirks of rural Tampa. Additional guests were Heath and Mindy Buster from Denver, Colo., and Shon and Kim Buster and family from Canton.
Tim and Donna Diener attended a scholarship awards banquet Friday evening at Kansas State University in Manhattan. Their daughter, Emily, was one of the recipients in the College of Agricultural Economics.
Clara and Alma Toews of Hillsboro, Leonard and Kathy Bortin and family, Howard and Violet Penner and family of rural Hillsboro were Sunday dinner guests of Olin and Bev Ensz and family, rural Hillsboro.
Saturday evening, Bill and Betty Meier and Julie Meier visited at the home of Socco and Willabeth Gonzalez in Newton.
On Saturday evening a hamburger fry was held at the Oliver Mohn home. The event was held for relatives arriving on Saturday who were attending the Christian Mohn family reunion on Sunday. Those attending were Clyde and Pam Mohn, Ken and Patty Becker, Diana Becker, Denver, Colo.; Eloise and Bob Heart, Neodesha; Jeryl and Vicki Mohn, Houston, Texas; Paul Mohn, Montclair, Va.; John, Jeannie, and Johnny LoFranco, San Jose, Calif.; Bob, Karen, Ryan, and Tiffany Haug, Jetmore; Russell Haug, Hesston; Gordon and Vicky Mohn, Jason, Rachel, Kyra, and Karsten Mohn, all from Hillsboro.
On Sunday, the reunion was held at the Hillsboro Senior Center. A noon meal was enjoyed followed by a time of introductions and news from those present. In addition to those at the Mohns on Saturday evening, the following attended on Sunday Deana and Don Garner, Jesse and Henrietta Helzer, Thomas, Okla.; Melvin and Isabella Bender, Wichita; Myrtle Mohn, Hillsboro; Carolyn Webster, McPherson; Calvin, Connie, and Christopher Mohn, Burlingame. Those arriving in the afternoon were Shawn Strunk, Hillsboro; Kara Bartell, Hesston; and Erin Dilks, Conway, Ark. The next reunion will be Sunday before Labor Day in 2006.
