Monday night AA meeting open to public
Alcoholics Anonymous is offering open meetings at 8 p.m. in the Main Street Ministries office, 415. S. Main in Hillsboro.
The open meetings allow any citizen to attend, whether or not he or she has personally had a problem with alcohol. The group does ask that those attending protect the anonymity of others in the group and that any information about other members be kept in confidence.
Alcoholics Anonymous is a fellowship of men and women who share their experiences, strength, and hope with each other so that they may solve their common problem and help others to recover from alcoholism.
The stories of these men and women disclose in a general way what they used to be like, what happened, and what they are now.
If you or anyone you know suffers from alcoholism and would like more information, call Carrie at (620) 947-3164 or Main Street Ministries offices at (620) 947-3393.
