Mueller qualifies for kids' state wrestling tournament
Nicholas Mueller, a fifth- grader at Hillsboro Elementary School, was the only member of the Hillsboro Kid's Club to qualify and advance to the Kansas Kids State Wrestling Tournament held this weekend in Topeka.
Mueller finished in the top four of the 10 and under age in the 79-pound weight class at a sub-district tournament held on March 16. The top four winners then competed against the top four from the other half of the district this past Saturday. The top four from each of the four districts of the state will wrestle this weekend.
Mueller has a 29-11 record for the year. He is the son of Ronald and Kaylene Mueller of Tampa.
