New faculty, staff join Tabor

Tabor College has appointed the following as new faculty and staff for the 2002-03 academic year.

Hallie Evans of Newton will fill the positions of financial aid representative and library assistant. A 2001 graduate of Central Christian College in McPherson, she was most recently employed as CCC's financial aid secretary.

Leda Graybill has begun working as the donor accountant. Originally from Newton, she and her husband spent 14 years in Pennsylvania. She was most recently employed by the Juniata (Pa.) County school district.

Mariann Heider will serve as adjunct instructor of Psychology. She will teach Helping Relationships and Social Psychology.

Brad Jantz, assistant professor of business administration at Bethel College in North Newton, will teach one section of Business Law as an adjunct instructor of Business.

Randy Keck, a former professional golfer and graduate of Coffeyville (Kan.) Community College and the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond, Okla., will recruit students for the athletic department and coach golf.

Diane Mays, a 2000 graduate of Tabor College from Enid, Okla., will be teaching two sections of English Composition as an adjunct instructor of English.

Jim Moore of Lancaster, Pa., has joined the faculty ranks as head softball coach, physical education instructor and athletic training assistant. Before coming to Tabor, he taught at the high-school level for 19 years.

Sheryl Shannon will fill the position of director of career services and orientation. She has taught English as a second language in Russia for two years, worked for Habitat for Humanity and has served as a high-school English instructor in the Oklahoma City area.

Melanie Wehrman will serve as administrative secretary for both the Humanities and Social Science offices. She has most recently worked as an assistant teacher at Joyful Noise Academy in Wichita and as a substitute teacher for the Derby school district.
