News from Parkside
On Monday, Parkside residents enjoyed participating in the rhythm band round table discussion group with Vida Bartel.
Tuesday at noon, Chester Unruh and Goldie Funk celebrated their birthdays with separate cakes.
Tuesday afternoon, a group met to play dominoes. Jo Thye and Ben Ewert were the winners of the games. Snacks were served with coffee to the players.
Curtis Wiens gave the afternoon Bible devotional. Chocolate ice cream was served after the service.
Carla Koslowsky and Vida Bartel played piano for the hymn sing led by Peggy Brandt on Thursday morning. On Thursday afternoon, Parkside had a party for John Deere's birthday. Steve Wear, manager of the Marion John Deere Dealership, was the special speaker. Many of the staff shared some of their John Deere items with us. We were treated to caps, pens, and calendars by Mr. Wear.
