On Monday, Parkside's 40 Days of Purpose group met to view a video and discuss the fourth chapter in the book. We all received a copy of the new Bible verse for the week, Philippians 2:5.
On Tuesday afternoon, a group met to play dominoes. Fern Unruh, Ron Freeman, and Harry Thye were the winners of the games. Snacks were served with coffee to the players.
On Wednesday, Daryl Baltzer brought the afternoon Bible devotional. Chocolate ice cream and St. Patrick's Day cookies were served as a special treat.
On Thursday, Parkside Homes celebrated 500,000 Safe Work Hours. This accomplishment began almost five years ago. The facility has not had a worker's compensation claim during this time. The celebration also marked the beginning of a safe work contest with the City of Hilslboro. There was a celebration party that included a barbecue, cake, drawings, and a balloon lift.
Bingo was played by residents on Friday afternoon. Kaethe Warkentin was the winner of the blackout game.
St. John's Lutheran Church brought the Sunday afternoon worship service.
