Newton group wins four-person golf scramble
The Hillsboro Golf Association hosted a 4-person scramble golf tournament July 12 at Hillsboro Municipal Golf Course.
Results of the tournament are — Championship: 1st, Brad Sherard, Trent Ash, Neal Denno, and Bill Kliewer of Newton, 50; 2nd, Doug Dick, Stan Utting, Aaron Hett, and Ken Johnson of Hillsboro, 57; 4th, Greg Rhea, Dan Sebastian, Dave Schmid, Dan Mason of Newton, 60. First Flight — 1st, Gregg Wyatt, Bill Broce, Brooks Beefor, and Stan Wiles of Lost Springs, 63, scorecard play off; 2nd, Doug Pauls, Joannie Pauls, Blaine Rucker, and Ron Toedman of Newton, 63; 3rd, Mark Stockman, Brice Foth, and Paul Nelson of Peabody, 64; 4th, Mike Padget, Mike Schneider, Scott Sader, and Mike Kohman of Hillsboro and El Dorado, 65.
