Nickel, Slipke to marry
Phyllis Nickel and Alan Slipke, both of Topeka, announce their engagement and upcoming marriage.
She is the daughter of William and Kala Nickel of Hillsboro.
He is the son of Edwin and Miriam Slipke of New Almelo.
The bride-elect is a 1994 graduate of Hillsboro High School and a 1999 graduate of Fort Hays State University. She is employed as a merchandise planner at Payless Shoe Source, Inc.
The groom-elect is a 1991 graduate of Lenora High School and a 1995 graduate of Fort Hays State University. He is a computer programmer for Payless Shoe Source, Inc.
The couple plans a Feb. 22, 2003, wedding at Trinity Mennonite Church in Hillsboro.
