Nina Krotz

Nina I. Krotz, 70, of Hillsboro, died Oct. 28, 2003, at the Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice in Wichita.

Born March 9, 1933, at Montezuma, she was the daughter of Cecil Vere and Lena (Bolte) Hornbaker.

On July 22, 1948, at Cottonwood Falls, she married Florian Krotz. He died in 2002.

She was an upholsterer for Beech Aircraft for 33 years and a member of Holy Family Parish St. John Nepomucene Church in Pilsen.

She was preceded in death by her husband and two sons, Charles and Stephen.

Survivors include sons, Greg Krotz and his wife Kelly Krotz of Newton and Mark Krotz of Mesa, Ariz.; daughter, Kathy and husband Dick Carr of Hillsboro; brothers, Cecil of Washington, D.C. and Wane of Rociada, New Mexico; sister, Geraldine Grentz of Marion; three grandchildren; and one grandchild.

Services were held Saturday at Holy Family Parish St. John Nepomucene Church in Pilsen with Father Steve Gronert, celebrant; and Father John Hotze, concelebrant. A rosary was held before the service. Burial was at Marion Cemetery in Marion.

A memorial has been established with the Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice.
