The news seems to be somewhat scarce. There seems to be an abundance of colds and the old-fashioned flu bug in the area. Also, the weather of rain and snow this weekend didn't help matters. We received about two inches of rain and about two inches of snow. What a mess!
Ransom and Lillian Wiebe went to Moundridge Manor Thursday evening to enjoy the singing and visit Helen Wiebe.
Clayton and Betty Wiebe were in Montezuma this past weekend. They attended the memorial service Monday for Betty's sister-in-law, Corrine Koehn, 72. They returned Tuesday. Others from here who attended were Travis and Sharon Koehn, Nelson and Bev Wiebe, Calvin Wiebe, and Ransom and Lillian Wiebe. Sympathy is extended to the Wiebes.
Bruce Dirks has been spending some time this week in Liberty, Ky., conducting meetings.
Sunday dinner guests of Larry and Wanda Koehn were Calvin and Janene Wiebe and family, Melvin and Vera Dirks, Warren and Jane Unruh, Irvin Isaac, and John, Ethel, and Randall Steiner.
Jason and Sheri Wiebe and family and Ransom and Lillian Wiebe were Friday supper guests of Leo Monton at Durham. Other guests were Lavern and Jean Monton of Michigan who were visiting in the area. They are Le's parents.
Thursday supper guests of Nelson and Bev Wiebe were Clayton and Betty Wiebe, Travis and Sharon Koehn and family, and Calvin and Janene Wiebe and family.
Sarah Peachy of Pennsylvania arrived Tuesday. She will be teaching the upper grades at the Cottonwood Grove School, taking the place of Dianne Wedel who recently got married. Sarah and Rhonda Davis were Saturday evening supper guests of Roy and Nadine Davis.
Ransom and Lillian Wiebe and the Jason Wiebe family were Saturday supper guests of Bryon and Rebecca Thomas. They celebrated the second birthday of the Thomas' foster boy, Riley.
Cheryl Dirks and Heath were Sunday dinner guests of Terry and Barb Hiebert.
Jerald and Rhonda Koehn and family and Merlin and Karletta Wiebe and girls were Sunday dinner guests of Clayton and Betty Wiebe.
Those enjoying Sunday dinner at the Tim and Shelia Koehn home were Roy and Nadine Davis, Eileen and Rhonda, Sarah Peachy, Jeff and Monica Ratzlaff and Taryn, the Daniel Wengar family of Hesston, and Joetta Wohlgemuth and Martha Greenland of Manitoba.
