Harry and Sheryl Rhodes went to Bradley, Ark., on Friday to spend the weekend getting acquainted with their new grandson and visit the Mike Rhodes family.

Guests for Sunday dinner at the home of Bruce and Cheryl Dirks were Larry and Wanda Koehn and Titus, Ruston and Lydia Dirks, Ken and Sandy Wiebe, Teresa and Ruthann Jantz, and Lillian Wiebe. Ransom is at a Hiawatha church, conducting meetings this week.

Word was received Sunday afternoon that Leah (Claude) Unruh died at the age of 91. She was a resident of Bethel Home at Montezuma. Services are planned for Thursday morning at Copeland.

Lillian Wiebe attended memorial services Tuesday for her cousin, Oliver H. Unruh, at the Meridian church near Hesston. He was 88 and died after complications from a fall.

A large crowd was in attendance at the farm sale of the late Elmer Decker. It was a beautiful fall day. Everyone had time and the morale of the farmers was good since a beneficial rain was received Thursday night. There were reports of an inch to almost three inches.

A number of people from Morning Star Church attended a musical program Sunday evening at Alexanderfeld Church near Hillsboro. There also were members of Alexanderfeld Church in attendance.

Palmer and Lucille Base visited Waldo and Doris Froese near Inman on Sunday.

Harry and Lela Wedel were Sunday dinner guests of Warren and Jane Unruh at Lehigh. In the evening, Darrel and Donita Rhodes visited the Wedels.
