The Morning Star Youth hosted a friendship supper Thursday evening for the community. A short program followed the delicious meal. This always is an enjoyable evening and appreciated by all.
There was a large group of relatives, friends, and neighbors who came to wish Muriel Christiansen happy wishes on her 90th birthday. The family hosted an open house in her honor Sunday at the First Baptist Church fellowship hall.
Wendell and Linda Wedel, Greg and Charlene Wedel and family, Travis and Connie Becker and Garret, Roy and Nadine Davis, Rhonda and Eileen, Rick and LaVae Koehn, and Dianne Wedel took Sunday dinner to Moundridge Manor to have a Thanksgiving celebration with Amanda Wedel.
Ransom and Lillian Wiebe went to DeRidder, La., this weekend to attend the wedding Sunday of Lynette Schmidt to Cade Manual. Lynette is Lillian's niece.
Tuesday evening supper guests of Harry and Sheryle Rhodes were Calvin and Janene Wiebe and family, Darrin and Meri Kay Rhodes and family, and Ken and Shelly Giesbrecht and Taylor. They celebrated the sixth birthdays of Dayna and Dallas and the first birthday of Morgan.
Supper guests Nov. 14 of Clayton and Betty Wiebe were the Calvin Wiebe family, Nelson Wiebe family, and Travis Koehn family. They celebrated the birthdays of Dallas, Dayna, and Morgan. The twins' birthday was Nov. 14 and Morgan's the 29th.
Lola Redger, Marcella Unruh, and Jaraine went to Muriel's 90th birthday open house then attended Bertha Goentzel's 90th birthday celebration at Hillsboro Mennonite Brethren Church.
Ron and Dora Unruh and family hosted a Duerksen family Thanksgiving basket dinner Sunday at Hillsboro. The Mark Unruh family and Warren Unruh family attended from here. We had a very good turnout with 49 in attendance and only five missing this time.
Sunday dinner guests at the home of Clayton and Betty Wiebe were Bruce and Cheryl Dirks, Heath and Bethany, Anthony and Beth Wiebe, and Scott and Tami Koehn and Riley.
