Morning Star Youth went to Wichita Saturday morning to Wesley and St. Francis hospitals and took teddy bears along to give to the children. They also sang for them in their rooms to create some cheer this holiday season.

The area received another six inches of snow on Saturday. With much more wind we would of soon been blocked in. It was really beautiful. It will make winter seem longer.

Rick and LaVae Koehn were Sunday dinner guests of Roy and Nadine Davis.

Mitch and Carol Unruh invited Clayton and Betty Wiebe, Loralee Wiebe and family, and Jason and Sheri Wiebe and family to be their Sunday dinner guests.

Doyle and Kara Wiebe had houseguests for the weekend, her brother Arlan Warkentin and family from Leland, Miss. They are on their way to Pincher Creek, Alberta, Canada, to visit his parents during the Christmas holiday. Additional Sunday dinner guests were Ken and Sandy Wiebe and the teachers.

Cheryl Dirks went Saturday to visit her mother, Verna Smith at Hutchinson and watch the grandchildren make their gingerbread houses, which is an annual event. The teenage grandchildren also enjoy this, which makes good life-long memories.

Ron and Dora Unruh went to Peabody-Burns Elementary School Tuesday where they were dinner guests of their grandson, Matt Hiebert. They also had some activities and singing before Christmas dinner together. The lunch room and tables were beautifully decorated, making a festive feeling.

Barb Unruh flew to Phoenix, Ariz., Wednesday evening and returned late Monday. She went to spend some time with her mother and help celebrate her 80th birthday. Barb was joined by her brother, Dwight Stutzman from Pennsylvania. They were able to surprise their mother, which made it extra special.

Ron and Dora Unruh went to the musical program Tuesday evening at Hillsboro where their grandchildren, Sarah Unruh and Darren Enns performed in the band and choirs.
