Northwest of Durham: Central Heights Mennonite program is Dec. 15 years ago

The Central Heights Mennonite Church will have their Christmas musical program at 6:30 p.m. on Dec. 15. The Praise IV quartet from the Inman area will bring the music program. Everyone is welcome to come join us for a very good evening of music.
Many families were able to be together during the Thanksgiving holiday this week. The weather was good and lent to good traveling for those who had to get on the roads to see family.
Most of the Harry Wedel family was able to be at the Wedel home on Thursday for dinner.
Wendell and Linda Wedel and Connie and Greg and Charlene Wedel went to Fredonia for the Mayeskea family dinner on Thursday.
Thursday, Mark and Kris Wiebe invited Ransom and Lillian Wiebe and Jason and Sheri Wiebe and family to be their dinner guests.
Palmer and Lucille Base together with Conrad and Catherine Hartman went to Andover Thursday to be guests of Merle and Pam Hartman.
On Sunday, Nov. 24, Ben and Lenora Goentzel were dinner guests at the Lauren Enns home. Ken and Kathy Goentzel of Harrisonville, Mo., were home and brought dinner for everyone to enjoy.
On Thursday, most of the Orville Richert family were home for dinner. Additional guests were Joe and Lillian Peters and Michelle Jantz of Newton and Fiennes Jantz.
Ron and Dora Unruh hosted the Wesley Unruh family on Thursday for Thanksgiving dinner. Guests were Wesley Unruh, Junior and Shirley Unruh of Hutchinson, Arvid and Julie Unruh of Brandon, Fla., Jim and Brenda Enns and Darren, Lisa Enns of Hesston College, David and Ashley Enns of Wichita, Mark and Barb Unruh, Katelin and Sarah, Warren and Anita Unruh, Nathan and Kyle, Lon and Deb Unruh and Matthew of Peabody, Dwight Unruh of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Alicia Cannon of Auburn, Wash., Rod and Tracey Unruh, Ryan and Tyler of Sioux City, Iowa, Scott and Kristy DeVault, Marisa and Jordan of Hutchinson, and Shawna Stutzman of Tabor College. Everyone was present except one granddaughter's husband, Ed Cannon.
On Thursday, Ken and Sandy Wiebe and Teresa had as their dinner guests Stuart and Lea Isaac and family, Irvin Isaac, Doyle and Kara Wiebe and Kara's mother Edith Warkentin of Canada, Helen Wiebe and Lester and Chris Friesen and Heide of Farwell, Texas.
Saturday afternoon, Lucille Base attended a come-and-go baby shower at Newton Medical Day room for her niece Kim and Jordan Bleyle of Minnesota.
Larry and Wanda Koehn and family had Thanksgiving dinner at the home of his sister, Lena Koehn, in Newton. Other guests were the Howard Eck family and Crystal Koehn of Galva, Tim and Sheila Koehn, and Dalton and Lorna Wiebe.
Warren and Anita Unruh joined the Funk families for a Thanksgiving supper Friday at the home of Vi Klassen in Hillsboro.
Saturday evening Wendell and Linda Wedel were guests of the Ron Jantzes in Burns when Linda's sister hosted a supper in honor of Ron's 50th birthday. Additional guests were family members.
Saturday evening Orville and Delores Richert were guests in the Verlin Richert home in Assyria for a belated Thanksgiving dinner. They were able to meet their three-month-old great-granddaughter for the first time. She is the daughter of Pam and Chad Hamlin of Houghton.
