Northwest of Durham: Clayton Wiebes have Sunday dinner guests

Clayton and Betty Wiebe invited Henry Redger, Jarold and Rhonda Koehn and family, Wendell and Linda Wedel, and Harry and Sheryle Rhodes to be their Sunday dinner guests.
Roy and Nadine Davis and Rick and LaVae Koehn went to Moundridge Manor Sunday evening to visit Amanda Wedel.
Those gathering at the Quinton Unruh home near Canton Sunday evening were Larry and Wanda Koehn and Titus, Travis and Sharon Koehn and family, Mitch and Carol Unruh and Deryk, Marcel and Wendy Unruh and Joel, Jeff and Monica Ratzlaff, and Carol Unruh of Hillsboro. They came to visit with Keith and Marietta and family, who were here visiting from Grant, Neb.
Ron and Dora Unruh, Mark and Barb Unruh, Katelin and Sarah, and Warren and Anita Unruh, Nathan, Kyle, and Jenna joined the rest of the family Sunday evening for the annual summer Duerksen picnic. There were about 40 in attendance at the western supper at the Jack and Leona Griffith farm near Walton. They took a horse-draw wagon ride through the woods to a campsite for supper. Afterward, they were entertained by Cowboy Jack with songs and telling stories of the old west. The evening was beautiful for the program and later visiting. The Mark Unruh family and the Brendon Nafziger family were hosts.
Clayton and Betty Wiebe hosted the annual Labor Day Isaac Wiebe family breakfast at their home Monday morning.
Lola Redger hosted a birthday party for her grandson Kyle's 14th birthday Saturday. His favorite meal was served to the honoree, Ray Redger and Tressa and Lisa Redger. After dinner they enjoyed cake and ice cream and he opened his gifts. His birthday was Aug. 30.
Ransom and Lillian Wiebe invited John and Ethel Steiner, Troy Wiebe family, Lisa Redger, and teachers Monica Goessen, Beth Troyer, and Kristi Koehn to be their Sunday dinner guests.
The Arden Wiebe family of Texahoma, Texas, visited relatives here this weekend.
Ray and Theresa Remmers of Hillsboro were Saturday evening supper guests of Richard and Kathy Dirks.
The patrons of Cottonwood Grove School hosted an ice cream social and a shower of groceries and money for the new teachers of the school.
