Northwest of Durham: Davises host fund-raiser for school

Guests for Sunday dinner in the home of Ken and Sandy Wiebe were Mark and Kris Wiebe and family, Kris' mother, Sharon Redger, of Cimarron, Lisa Redger, and Wayne and Loralee Wiebe and Ross.
Going out for dinner Sunday at the Tampa restaurant were Marcella Unruh, Verla Redger, Lola Redger, and Darlene Unruh.
Roy and Nadine Davis hosted a fund-raiser supper for the school on Sunday evening. They had 13 guests in their home.
Thursday evening, the Roy and Nadine Davis and family went to visit their mother, Amanda Wedel, at the Moundridge Manor.
An open house and reception was held Saturday at the Hesston Senior Center to honor Elmer Decker on his 90th birthday. Elmer, a farmer, lived in this community many years. A large crowd of friends and relatives helped him celebrate. Those there from here were Harry and Verna Decker and John, Jaranie Redger, Ben and Lenora Goentzel, Richard and Kathy Dirks, Lola Redger, Palmer and Lucille Base, and Richard and Ruth Thayer. Congratulations, Elmer!
On Saturday evening, Wendell and Linda Wedel and Connie and Greg and Charlene Wedel went to Fredonia where they were guests at a family supper. Then on Sunday they all attended the wedding of Linda's niece, Sara Mayeskea, to Randy Ensz of McIntyre, Iowa, at the Fredonia church. Greg and Connie had to return on Sunday evening because of their jobs on Monday. Wendell and Linda stayed until late Monday afternoon when they returned. On Monday, they attended the Mayeskea family reunion at the Independence Park. There were 91 family members there.
Merle and Pam Hartman of Andover came to visit Palmer and Lucille Base on Thursday afternoon and Friday before going to spend time with his parents, the Conrad Hartmans, at Hope. Sunday, Palmer and Lucille visited with Jim and Jeanie Funk near Hillsboro.
Ransom and Lillian Wiebe went to Garden City on Sunday to visit Leah Unruh at the hospital there.
