Northwest of Durham: Dirks surprise daughter with visit

Ransom and Lillian Wiebe were privileged to have their granddaughter, Meri Beth Unruh form Willis, Calif., visit them from Tuesday to Thursday morning. On Wednesday evening, the Merlin Wiebe family, the Mark Wiebe family, the Jason Wiebe family, the teachers, Starla Koehn, Erica Schmidt, Sarah Schmidt, and Sarah's sisters, Trudy and Margie Schmidt of Fort Vermillion, Alberta, Canada, were here visiting. They all had supper together.

Wendell and Linda Wedel spent Easter Sunday with Linda's family, the Mayeskeas. On Monday, the Wedels attended the funeral services for Evelyn Jantz at the Burns church.

Sunday dinner guests in the home of Doyle and Kara Wiebe were Harry and Sheryle Rhodes, Lisa Schmidt of Moundridge, and Lisa Redger.

Ransom and Lillian Wiebe went to the funeral of her cousin, Maynard Koehn, on Wednesday at the Gospel Church in Moundridge. On Thursday, they went to Garden City to spend time there until Saturday with her father, Claude Unruh at the hospital.

Richard and Kathy Dirks left after work on Friday for Colorado Springs, Colo., to help their daughter, Sheri Wilson celebrate her birthday with other family members. This was a pleasant surprise for her. They returned home last Sunday.

On Saturday, Ken and Sandy Wiebe and Teresa went to spend the day attending the sale of Teresa's grandmother's, Eva Jantz, household sale at Montezuma.

Sunday dinner guests of Duane and Louise Ratzlaff were Wendell and Linda Wedel and the Troy Schmidt family.

Late Sunday afternoon, Linda Wedel's nephew, Brad and Anne Mayeskea and boys of Fredonia, stopped by for a visit at the Wedel home.

The Ransom Wiebes and the Merlin Wiebe family visited residents at the Moundridge Manor on Sunday afternoon.

Tuesday evening, the young couples class of Morning Star Church got together for supper at the home of Dalton and Lorna Wiebe.
