Northwest of Durham: Farewell given to Yosts

A group got together Thursday evening at the Brandon Place for a basket supper. It was for Harold and Loretta Yost from Iroquois, S.D. He has been here about two weeks and has finished laying bricks at the new Morning Star Church. Other special guests were Loretta's parents, the Lloyd Koehns, and her brother's family, the Marvin Koehns, from Moundridge. The Yosts left on Sunday for their home.

Last Sunday Wendell and Linda Wedel went to eat dinner with Amanda Wedel at Moundridge Manor. In the evening they were guests for supper at the Warren Unruh home in Lehigh. Others there were Mitchell and Carol Unruh and Deryk, Chris and Stephanie Becker and family, Ron and Jenalee Becker and Chad, and Harry and Lela Wedel.

The Gene Redger family was home over the weekend. They came especially to help their mother, Jaraine, celebrate her birthday.

Evening supper guests of the Larry Koehns were Harold and Loretta Yost, Ransom and Lillian Wiebe, Melvin and Vera Dirks, and Irvin Isaac.

Richard and Kathy Dirks attended the Goessel Threshing Days parade and some of the other afternoon activities.

Some of those that attended the 50th wedding anniversary open house for James and Lillian Hiebert at Hillsboro's Alexanderfeld Church Sunday afternoon were Ransom and Lillian Wiebe, Richard and Charlotte Wiebe, Wendell and Linda Wedel, Harry and Sheryl Rhodes, Dalton and Lorna Wiebe, and Clayton and Betty Wiebe.

Guests for Sunday dinner at the home of Travis and Sharon Koehn were Merlin and Karletta Wiebe and family and Marcel and Wendy Unruh and Joel.

Sunday supper guests of Ransom and Lillian Wiebe were the Merlin Wiebe family, the Mark Wiebe family, and the Harlan Koehn family.

Guests invited to the home of Jerald and Rhonda Koehn last Monday evening were Roy and Nadine Davis and their girls, Bruce and Cheryl Dirks and family, Ruston and Lydia Dirks, and Lydia's parents, Leroy and Marlene Toews and family of Murray, Ky.
