Harvest is at the door and social activities are not a priority so news is scarce. There has been a little cutting on Saturday, but others are still busy with putting up alfalfa and brome. There also have been showers at different times during the week. On Thursday afternoon some had 1.30, .30, .75 and Durham had 2.20. It varied a lot within a mile or two. It was good for the row crops, but now everyone would like to get the wheat cut.

Sunday morning the wedding of Deanne Steiner and Jason Koehn of Buhl, Idaho, took place at Morning Star Church. Her brother, David and Elaine Steiner and daughter, and sisters, Rochelle Steiner and Eric and Charity Hightower and boys from California, came for the wedding. Congratulations to the couple. They plan to make their home at Buhl, Idaho.

Wednesday supper guests in the Merlin Wiebe home were Larry and Wanda Koehn and family, Dalton and Lorna Wiebe, Travis and Sharon Koehn and family, and Tim and Sheila Koehn.

Justin and Rebecca Wiebe and family came Saturday for the wedding and to help his parents with harvest. They are house guests of the Ransom Wiebes. Other guests of the Wiebes this weekend were Mr. and Mrs. Daryl Dirks and family of Scott City who had also come for the wedding.

Overnight guests of the Clayton Wiebes on Saturday were Paul and Della Nichols of Winton, Calif. Della is a sister of Ethel Steiner.

Friday, Sara Koehn made a Zimbabwe supper for family at her parents' home. Guests were Larry and Wanda, Dennis and Titus, Travis and Sharon Koehn and family, Dalton and Lorna Wiebe, and Tim and Shelia Koehn.

Weekend guests in the home of Bruce and Cheryl Dirks were Brad and Weldon Koehn of Filer, Idaho. They are cousins of Jason Koehn.

Congratulations to Thad and Edna Thayer on the arrival of their son, Marcus Daniel, who was born June 20. He has two brothers, Jamie 3 1/2, and Samuel, 2, to welcome him. Grandparents are Richard and Ruth Thayer and Ezra and Madie Heading of Horseshoe Beach, Fla. The Headings came last Tuesday to spend some time here with the Thayers and will return sometime this week. Edna's sister Esther came in May to spend this summer helping in the home. Sunday evening Palmer and Lucille Base visited in the Thayer home to see the new baby.
