Northwest of Durham: Kahn family enjoys basket dinner

A basket dinner for the Steve Kahn family of Cimarron was held Sunday at Cottonwood Grove School. The Kahns' daughter, Christy works at the café in Durham. Her family will move to Lehigh temporarily. Those present for the dinner were Wendell and Linda Wedel, Greg, Charlene, and Cadon Wedel, Rick and LaVae Koehn, Roy and Nadine Davis, Duane and Louise Ratzlaff, Darrel and Donita Rhodes, Quinton and Dianne Unruh, Merlin and Karletta Wiebe and family, Ron and Paula Toews, Glen Ensz family, Heidi Hiebert, and Carol Ann Unruh.
Katelin Unruh left Tuesday evening with Trinity and First Mennonite Church Youth for a work project in the Kansas City area. She returned home Sunday afternoon.
Eileen Davis and Susie Unruh attended the Sunday wedding of Tina Koehn at Garden View Church near Halstead.
Wendell and Linda Wedel, Greg, Charlene, and Cadon Wedel were supper guests at the home of Travis and Connie Becker at Halstead. Everyone celebrated Linda's birthday. The Wedel family went Saturday to the Wichita zoo for a family outing.
Doyle and Kara Wiebe and family spent an extended weekend visiting the Arden Wiebe family in Texas.
Ken, Sandy, and Marcel Wiebe and Wendy Unruh and Joel were Sunday dinner guests of Nelson and Bev Wiebe.
Bruce , Cheryl, and Heath Dirks, Richard, Charlotte, Arlyn and Carlyn Wiebe, Lavern and Lisa Litwiller and family were Sunday dinner guests at the home of Harry and Sheryle Rhodes.
