Northwest of Durham: Morning Star youth host supper

The youth of Morning Star Church hosted a friendship supper Thursday evening at the Durham Community Building. There was a large group of people from the community attending. They served a delicious supper after a musical program of Christmas songs was given by the youth. This was very much appreciated by everyone.
Congratulations to grandparents Bruce and Cheryl Dirks on the arrival of a new grandson, Monty Glen, born on Nov. 23 to Lavern and Lisa Litwiller at Murray, Ky. He has a brother, Jared, 5, and a sister, Cheri, 3, to welcome him.
Harry and Verna Decker were guests at their family get-together Sunday in Newton. It was a combined Thanksgiving and Christmas gathering. It was hosted by Gene and Jaranie Redger and Earl and Sharon Decker. There was a large group in attendance.
The Ransom Wiebe families, the Richard Wiebe families, the Clayton Wiebe families, the Ken Wiebe families, and Helen Wiebe had a pre-Christmas basket dinner on Sunday.
The Cottonwood Grove School will have its Christmas program at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 19. at the Morning Star Church. Anyone is welcome to attend.
Randy and Janie Ediger and family were Sunday visitors of Mark and Barb Unruh.
