Northwest of Durham: Unruh attends Camp Mennoscah

Wendell and Linda Wedel enjoyed the weekend in Fredonia visiting Linda's family and especially her mother. They returned on Monday.
Sunday evening, newly weds Tim and Sheila Koehn were honored with a reception at the Morning Star Church. The couple is making their home in Durham.
The Jerald Koehn family, the Calvin Wiebe family, the Troy Wiebe family, and Greg and Charlene Wedel, went to Moundridge Manor and hospital Sunday morning to present the services and singing there. Later, Ken and Sandy Wiebe and Teresa had dinner at the manor with their mother and grandmother, Helen Wiebe.
Heath Buster and friend from Denver, Colo., spent the weekend in Kansas and were guests in the home of Richard and Kathy Dirks.
Connie Wedel had Sunday dinner with the Roy Davis family.
The Isaac Wiebe extended families had their annual breakfast Labor Day at the Ken Wiebe home.
Ron and Dora Unruh visited Jerald and Kaylene Unruh on Sunday evening in Hillsboro.
Betty Wiebe spent about 10 days helping take care of her sister, Mae Wedel, at Phoenix, Ariz. On Aug. 24, Clayton joined her and they both flew back on Wednesday. This was so that Loretta Wiebe, who takes care of Mae, could go on a vacation to Maine. Teresa Wiebe and Robin Wedel also went with Loretta.
Bruce Dirks returned home on Monday evening from Buhl, Idaho, after spending a few days at orientation for two couples who will be gong as missionaries to Romaine.
Sunday dinner guests of Harry and Verna Decker were Earl and Sharon Decker of Newton. This was to celebrate Earl's recent birthday.
Monday evening, the Harry Wedel families gathered for a hamburger fry at the Wedel home.
Invited supper guests of the Bruce Dirks on Wednesday evening were Larry and Wanda Koehn and family, and Howard and Charlene Becker and Dan.
Katelin Unruh joined other youth from Hillsboro and spent Saturday and Sunday at WDC Fall retreat at Camp Mennoscah near Murdock.
