Northwest of Durham: Unruh attends K-State basketball game

On Jan. 26, Ransom and Lillian Wiebe, the Mark Wiebe family, the Stuart Isaac family, and Marcel and Wendy Unruh went to the Moundridge Hospital and the manor to have services for the residents. Ransom gave the devotional, and the others sang musical numbers for all to enjoy. Later, Ransom and Lillian visited Esther Unruh, Helen Wiebe, and Alice Unruh and then had dinner with them at the manor. Helen Wiebe returned home with them and that evening attended church services here. The Clayton Wiebes took Helen back after church.
On Thursday, the birthday of Linda Wedel's sister, Bev Mayeskea, of Newton was celebrated by some family coming to Durham to eat at the café that evening. Helping her celebrate were Allen and Ann Mayeskea of Newton, Ron and Margaret Jantz of Burns, and the Wendell Wedels. After supper, they all joined visiting at the Wedel home.
Roy and Nadine Davis and family, the Troy Wiebe family, Charlotte Wiebe and boys spent Thursday evening with Gerald and Eva Davis at Lehigh.
On Thursday, Verla Redger came to spend the day with Lola Redger.
Marcel and Wendy Unruh invited Harry and Sheryle Rhodes, Harry and Lela Wedel, Darrin and Meri Kay Rhodes and son, and Irvin Isaac to be their dinner guests.
On Saturday evening, Kathy Dirks entertained Doug and Colleen Weinbrenner and family and Shon and Kim Buster and family for supper in honor of Richard's recent birthday.
The Brad Dirks family went to the home of the Quinton Unruhs at Canton on Sunday evening.
Dinner guests Sunday in the home of Roy and Nadine Davis were Calvin and Janene Wiebe and family, Travis and Sharon Koehn and family, Clayton and Betty Wiebe, and Wayne and Loralee Wiebe.
Sunday supper guests of Harry and Sheryle Rhodes were Clayton and Betty Wiebe, the Troy Schmidt family, and he Larry Koehn family.
Jan. 25, Katelin Unruh accompanied other youth from Trinity to attend the K-State girls' basketball game at Manhattan.
