Northwest of Durham: Unruhs host family from South Africa

Memorial services for Emil Dirks were held Saturday morning at Central Heights Church. There was a large crowd in attendance. He was a former resident of the area. The community extends its sympathy to the family.
The supper guests of Ron and Dora Unruh were Ron's cousin Lex and Anabel de Wit from South Africa. They came for their daughter's wedding in Maryland in January. They have spent the past weeks visiting with her family and others in the area.
Sunday dinner guests in the Clayton Wiebe home were Greg and Charlene Wedel and the Travis Koehn family.
Starla Koehn spent the weekend visiting in the home of Roy Davis family.
Harry and Sheryle Rhodes invited Calvin and Janene Wiebe and family, Sarah Schmidt, Starla Koehn, and Tammy Rhodes to be their dinner guests on Sunday.
Guests that had Sunday dinner together in the home of Bruce and Cheryl Dirks were Ken and Shelly Giesbrecht and Taylor, Wendell and Linda Wedel, Dalton and Lorna Wiebe, and Henry Redger.
On Friday, Palmer and Lucille Base went to Andover to visit with Merle and Pam Hartman. They also went to visit the Haven of Hope where Pam works as the volunteer program coordinator.
