Northwest of Durham: Wedels attend church at Canton

On Sunday Harry and Lela Wedel attended church services at United Center Church near Canton. They were dinner guests of Kelly and Karleen Koehn. Other guests were Ron and Jenalee Becker and family, and Cameron and Kristi Unruh.
Dale Wilson and children of Colorado Springs, Colo., came to Kansas to visit relatives. Dale is the son-in-law of Richard and Kathy Dirks. The children will spend time with their cousins, the Doug Weinbrenner children, while Dale spends time with his mother in Manhattan. The family gathered Friday evening for supper and homemade ice cream at the Weinbrenner home in Hillsboro.
Those who ate Sunday dinner in the home of Larry and Wanda Koehn were Travis and Sharon Koehn and family; Tim and Sheila Koehn and Jared; Dalton and Lorna Wiebe; and Carol Unruh. They helped Larry celebrate his birthday which was Monday.
Mark and Barb Unruh attended memorial services for Verney Unruh Wednesday morning at First Mennonite Church of Newton.
Ken and Shelly Geisbrecht entertained Sunday dinner guests, including Ransom and Lillian Wiebe; Ken and Sandy Wiebe; Rick and LaVae Koehn; Henry Redger; and Irvin Isaac.
Visitors this week at the home of Marcella Unruh have been granddaughters Molly and Jessie Schroeder.
