Northwest of Durham: Wiebes attend anniversary event

On March 30, Clayton and Betty Wiebe went to Montezuma to help Betty's brother, Henry and Corrine Koehn, celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. Also going from here were the Nelson Wiebe family, the Calvin Wiebe family, the Travis Koehn family, and the Wayne Wiebe family.
Sunday dinner guests of Ransom and Lillian Wiebe were Harry and Lela Wedel, Ken and Sandy Wiebe, James and Lillian Hiebert, and Mr. and Mrs. Abe Ensz and grandchildren from Hillsboro.
On Wednesday, Nadine Davis and Linda Wedel ate dinner with Amanda Wedel at Moundridge Manor where Amanda is a resident. That afternoon they took her to Newton for her doctor's appointment.
On Sunday, going to Newton to be dinner guests of Lena Koehn and Margie Jantz were Larry and Wanda Koehn and family, Travis and Sharon Koehn and family, Tim and Shelia Koehn, Dalton and Lorna Wiebe, the Howard Eck family of Haviland, Marsha Koehn of Greensburg, Crystal Koehn of Galva, and the Andrew Koehn family of Montezuma.
Sunday evening, Wendell and Linda Wedel and Connie took pizza for supper over to Greg and Charlene Wedel to enjoy with them.
Supper guests Sunday in the home of Ken and Sandy Wiebe were Merlin and Karletta Wiebe and family and the Richard Thayer family.
Ron and Dora Unruh attended on Friday evening the drama play of "Anne of Green Gables" presented by students of Hillsboro High School.
Bruce Dirks spent several days conducting meetings in Yuma, Ariz., and returned on Monday.
Palmer and Lucille Base attended worship services Sunday at Bellaire Church with Merle and Pam Hartman. Later, they were dinner guests of the Hartmans in their home and spent the afternoon visiting with them. Friday evening, the Bases visited at the home of Stuart and Linda Base at Gypsum.
