Northwest of Durham: Wiebes attend I-W reunion at Montezuma

The Bruce Dirks family, Ransom and Lillian Wiebe, and Amanda Wedel took dinner on Sunday to the home of Henry and LaVerna Redger to share and enjoy with them.
Friday evening supper guests of the Clayton Wiebes were the Larry Koehn family and Lori Nikkel of Inman, who taught with Sara, and Lisa Redger.
The Justin Wiebe family of Bloomfield, Iowa, came to the Ransom Wiebe home last Sunday and spent four nights with them and visited in the area. Monday evening, the Mark Wiebe family joined them for supper at the Ransom Wedels. Tuesday, the Ransom Wedels and their house guests and Ken and Sandy Wiebe, the Doyle Wiebe family, and the Troy Wiebe family were some of the supper guests of the Clayton Wiebes.
Dianne Schroeder, Marcella Unruh's granddaughter from Colorado, visited her on Friday before she returned to school.
Larry and Wanda Koehn and family, Dayton and Martha Unruh, and Carol and Ken and Sandy Wiebe were Sunday dinner guests of Jerald and Rhonda Koehn.
Having Sunday dinner with the Brad Dirks family were Melvin and Vera Dirks.
Last Sunday, Ransom and Lillian Wiebe attended a I-W reunion at a Montezuma school. Ransom served there in the early 50s.
Ron and Dora Unruh visited Marcella Unruh Sunday evening.
Mark and Barb Unruh, Katelin and Sarah returned home late Sunday after spending four days vacationing in Kansas City and Nebraska. They visited some relatives at Beaver Crossing, Neb.
Ona Donahue, a former Durham resident, and more recently a resident of HCMC Long Term Care Unit, passed away Aug. 7 at the of age 96.
Memorial services were held Saturday morning at Zeiner Funeral Home in Marion with burial at Durham Cemetery. Many friends from the community attended the service. The community extends their sympathy to the family.
