Northwest of Durham: Wiebes entertain Sunday guests

Charlene Wedel and Cadon, Jeff and Monica Ratzlaff, Teresa Wiebe, and Carol Unruh were dinner guests Sunday of Calvin and Janene Wiebe.

Roy and Nadine Davis were Sunday dinner guests at the home of Abe Ensz at Hillsboro. Others attending were Gerald and Eva Davis, Verna Ensz, Nellie Penner, LeAnn Penner, and Nellie's sister from Manitoba, Canada.

David and Joy Litwiller and family of Hillsboro, Ken and Shelly Giesbrecht and Taylor, and Wayne and Loralee Wiebe and family were Sunday dinner guests of Doyle and Kara Wiebe.

The community extends their sympathy to the Ransom Wiebe family. Their daughter Jane (Wiebe) Koehn, 47, died Jan. 20. Ransom and Lillian left Jan. 14 to be with her and the family. Kristi Koehn, a daughter who teaches here, flew home Jan. 13 to be with her mother. Other survivors are her husband Russell and daughter.

The Merlin Wiebe family, Mark Wiebe family, Jason Wiebes, and Justin Wiebes also went to California this weekend as well as Ken and Sandy Wiebe and Clayton Wiebe. The Koehn family lives at Oroville, Calif. Memorial services were held Jan. 23 at Glenn, Calif.

Bruce and Cheryl Dirks invited Larry and Wanda Koehn, Denise and Titus, Henry Redger, and Russ and Lydia Dirks and their houseguests, Allen and Heather Martin of Pennsylvania to be their Sunday dinner guests.

Going to the home of Warren and Jane Unruh to be their Sunday dinner guests were Harry and Lela Wedel, Harry and Sheryle Rhodes, and Kelly and Karleen Koehn and their children, Carmen and Kristi Unruh and Dale Jantz and Ruthann.

Lola Redger and Marcella Unruh went Wednesday to Hillsboro where they visited Karlene Unruh who recently had surgery.
