NW Durham: Life-long resident passes away

The community extends their sympathy to the family of Delores Richert, who died Sept. 6. Memorial services were Saturday at the First Mennonite Church. Burial was at Peace Valley Cemetery, Durham. She was a lifetime resident of this community.
Sympathy is extended to Lola Redger and her family. Lola's brother, Elmer Nightingale died Aug. 27. Memorial services were Aug. 31 at Greenfield Mennonite Church, Carnegie, Okla. Lola and family and Lisa and Ray Redger attended.
The Larry Koehns hosted a Labor Day picnic supper in their pasture near their home. Guests were the Travis Koehn family, Dalton and Lorna Wiebe, Tim, Carol, and Jared Koehn, the Wayne Wiebe family, Clayton and Betty Wiebe, and Byron and Rebecca Thomas.
The Harry Rhodes family, Darrin Rhodes family, Calvin Wiebe family, and Ken Giesbrecht family left Sunday afternoon for Oklahoma City where they met the Mike Rhodes family for a gathering until the evening of Labor Day.
The Warren Unruhs, Mitchell Unruhs, Marcel Unruhs, and Jeff Ratzlaffs went to a Colorado camping area for an extended Labor Day weekend.
Harry and Lela Wedel, Merlin Wiebe family, Anthony and Beth Wiebe, and the Koehn children, Cameron and Kristy, were guests on Labor Day of Kelly and Karleen Koehn.
Don and Marlene Sattelfield of Shawnee were guests Friday and Saturday of Marcella Unruh. They went shopping Friday, and had supper in Salina in honor of Marcella's birthday which was Thursday. Gene Unruh and Galen and Marlene Unruh also were guests of Marcella's during the weekend.
Jason and Sheri Wiebe and family, Tim and Shelia Koehn, and Jared and Carol Ann Unruh were Sunday dinner guests of Ken and Sandy Wiebe.
Moundridge Manor hosted a Friday evening hamburger fry for residents and their families. Ransom and Lillian Wiebe, Richard and Charlotte Wiebe, Ken and Sandy Wiebe, Clayton and Betty Wiebe, Roy and Nadine Davis, and Wendell and Linda Wedel attended.
The Dale Rhodes family met Sunday at Cottonwood Grove School for a potluck dinner. There was a good turnout with many coming from Missouri.
Ransom and Lillian Wiebe visited Sunday with Melvin and Vera Dirks.
Larry and Wanda Koehn invited the Terry Hiebert family, Mitch Unruh family, Doug and Starla Koehn, and Henry Redger to be their Sunday dinner guests.
Palmer and Lucille Base spent Saturday with Merle and Pam Hartman at Andover. Matt and Martha Thayer and son of Virginia, visited Sunday evening at the Base home.
