Gathering news was somewhat difficult this week as it has been quite busy. Some folks started to harvest wheat on Friday afternoon and Saturday was a fairly good cutting day. Then Saturday night we got about .60 to an inch of rain which was much needed. Monday was a good cutting day, and as much as possible was accomplished with farmers working very late too. We received more rain that night. The wheat seems to have good quality, and yields have been better than expected.
This weekend, some folks went to the wedding of Rustyn Dirks and Lydia Toews in Murray, Ky. Most of the young people from the Morning Star Church went as well as the groom's parents, Bruce and Cheryl Dirks and family, Tim and Shelia Koehn, Ken and Shelly Geisbrecht and Taylor, Ransom and Lillian Wiebe and Clayton and Betty Wiebe. The young couple will make their home in the area.

On Sunday Mike and Mich Rhodes and Madison and David and Chris Redger and family of Hardin, Montana, were after church visitors for refreshments in the home of Stuart and Lea Isaac and family. The Redgers are helping Henry Redger with the harvest.
